Hey everyone, we are in Cranbrook. We drove here Thursday. Uneventful. We had to kill some time as it was less than 2 hours to Cranbrook. So we pulled over at a rest stop and wandered.
Beautiful scenery!
Wildflowers at the rest stop
Onto Cranbrook. We are at the St Eugene Koa. VERY spacious sites. Nice and clean. But we haven't checked out the washrooms yet. There is a casino, which we won't be going to 😷. But we will be golfing tomorrow. First pictures of our site.
This is looking from our site back towards the clubhouse.
Then Wilbur went to the driving range this morning and loved it. $10.00 bucks for a 45min window. All the balls you want. He said it was deserted so he hit balls for longer. Then went and did sand shots.
Yesterday we went to the Cranbrook Historical Building. It is mostly about trains. We did the comparitive tour. Which takes you through a few very old train cars. Some restored, some not. I do not have any pictures as its cramped and we were a group of six AND they don't have a lot of lights. I actually gently told our guide they needed more lights and she said they didn't have electricity to one of the cars. I suggested battery lights. She said she would pass that onto her manager. Seriously, it's a lawsuit waiting to happen! Wilbur had to put his phone flashlight on or we would have all tripped going into the engine section.
This was a beautiful room. The carving is unbelievable. No mass manufacturing!
This was in the entrance to the museum. This is a scary Drs device from early days. Ugh read the info!
For my blood pressure friends and relatives!
And of course and iconic small town sign.
And of course doggy pictures!
This looks like a great place..Eric would love the trains! Plus..the kids are back in school so it should be quiet😉
