We are in Castlegar. Kootenay River RV Park. Wilbur says we have the same spot we had 2yrs ago! Weird.
Today we walked to the Brilliant Suspension Bridge. It's 5 mins from our spot. Took the doggies.
That is the car bridge in the background. We walk under it to get to the suspension bridge.
Now I shall bore you with the historical facts. It was built in 1913. And here are the pictures about the bridge and the restoration.
Now there is a ton of pictures. But I will post just a few more of the bridge itself. And the dam that you can see upriver.
Then we came back and doggies went into river. Vodka was a chicken until he saw Buddy go in. Buddy went in like the old days. When he used to just plunge in. He didn't go in very far, but it was heartwarming to see.
And a cute carved bench.
Oh and I forgot. A garter snake on the trail. I almost stepped on it. It was stretched out getting sun. It was teeny. This is a zoomed in picture
Nice hat Wilbur😁 Great tour and information. So nice to see Buddy having a swim..he was a swimming maniac in the old days..no duck was safe😂
