April 30, 2025 - Palm Springs

This blog is a mish mash of everything that has been happening.  The pictures aren't in chronological order, but you won't know that.  😜 

The traditional picture of Marilyn.  We were at the Thursday night street fair. 

I think this was JW Marriott.  Very nice course. 

 

Wilbur wanted to hike the cross hike with Alicja.  I was QUITE nervous about completing it. I am very out of shape after a winter of doing nothing. Well I sat on my bum and ate, a lot!

Yay!  I made it.  Not too bad at all. Started at 7:15, to beat the heat. It lights up at night. 

Funny not a cloud in the sky. But later that day it got coudy and we had a few sprinkles. 

Looked worse in person. 

Not sure what Alicja is staring at?  There is a heart dedication, but this doesn't look like it. 

This is the street fair. Funny we are walking backwards. Looks pretty good. 

We got tacos from here, and sat on the curb to eat. Very fancy!

I had to throw this in. Alicja always gets a pistachio ice cream when she comes down. 

The "required" photo of wild life.  I would be guessing, there were more babies and that more than a few have been picked off. 😞

Wilbur's brother Kevin came over for 2 days from the LA area.  A really good visit. Wilbur stayed at the trailer and Kevin, Alicja, Bill and I golfed. 

Ok. This is funny.  I look so serious because I was concentrating on getting everyone in the picture.  Everyone KNOWS I don't take anything seriously!  I had eveyone over for appies after golf. Wilbur's friend from elementary school and his best man Kim and wife Jennifer came over too. They have a place in Palm Desert and are usually still here when we come down. A great couple. They had us over to their place too. 

This is over at Kim and Jennifers.  Their friend Tina and Brady are there.  We met them last year. Funny I said I guess we will meet once a year down here!  

We will be doing summer holidays. And driving all the way to Calgary this year. Where they are all from. 

I made Kevin hold Vodka, so I could get a picture of the brothers together.

I had Alicja and Bill over for bbq'd lamb chops.  We used our fancy "meater" probe, I bought for Wilbur a few Christmas's ago.  Works like a hot damn. 

More street fair. 

The close mountains are very interesting.  Right in the middle of Palm Springs area   These are along hwy 111, between Palm Springs and Palm Desert.  

Beep beep, Roadrunner. 

We only have a week left. Another round of golf. The talent show we go to every year. And I guess another round at our little Par 3 at our resort.
