August 31-2021 Radium and golf

Just boring golf update. Nothing much else happening.  This may bore the non-golfer.

It just started raining.  So I blog!   Which is why we switched todays golf to last Sunday. (That was Fairmonts course Mountainside.)

Yesterday we golfed at The Springs.  A Radium Hot Springs golf course. It was in fantastic shape. But boy those greens have slant and are fast. (At least that's the excuse I'm using!)

And how was the golf. Mmm my drives were great. But 2nd shots sucked until the last few holes. Chipping was not bad. And most putts were OK, but miss the hole and "bye bye".

I pretty well hit every sand trap by every green. I got out of most beautifully. Except the last hole which I majorally screwed up.  Take and 8 tuck your tail and leave!

And this one crazy par 3. You have to picture it.  It had 6 feet high wood from the green down to the bunker and then 6 more feet of wood down to grass.  So I tee up and I almost hit the green. It bounced off the wood and back onto the grass before the bunker.  Beside and behind a tree.  Huh!  Now I have to try and chip through branches onto the green. Well!  Then I chipped into the sand! AND wait for it.......you had to climb a metal LADDER into the bunker. Then I didn't get out of that one and you had to climb a SECOND LADDER to get to the green!  First time for everything!  Ugh cardio on a par 3. And NO I didn't get a picture.  Stupid!

Also we saw sheep and deer!  Oh and wild turkeys. But I didn't get a picture of them!
