March 30, 2022 Tualip Casino

Funny this makes it look like we are the only ones there!  There are people beside us.

Hi.  Here we are heading out to Palm Springs again.  On the first day we always drive to the Tualip Casino and park in their RV Parking, in the back.  There are no hookups, but it is free.

We do this so we can get across the border without worrying about how long a lineup there will be.  We DO use the nexux line, which usually has no line up.   Today we went through Peace Arch Border.  SO much easier to maneuver through, than the truck border. Straight. The truck border barely has enough room as it's the far right lane and it is windy.  We've had to bring in our mirrors and pray a little.    And there was NO lineup today!

The other reason we just drive to the casino is we don't take ANY veggies or fruit or meat or eggs, across the border.  And he asked today.  We drop the 5th wheel (that's our trailer, for those of you not up on trailer lingo!) and drive across the I5 to Hagens grocery store. We get a few things to make it to Palm Spings.  Premade dinners for the next few days.  And milk and eggs and a bit of meat and chicken, etc   And TWIZZLERS.  Our go to driving junk food.  Easy to hold while driving and not messy or sticky.

We quickly went over to the premium outlets as Wilbur was looking for a ski jacket.   Wrong time of the year, BUT, Columbia outlet had them.  Well..... super cheap... so he bought TWO!  Ya.

We don't unpack for the night, so the trailer is a little jammed.  We have the bikes inside (I know, crazy).  But they are electric and too heavy to have them attached to the outside ladder.  And for one night, too lazy to take them out and chain them up with the 15 locks my super safe, engineer husband, deems appropriate. (Ok maybe not 15...13?).

Heading to Eugene tomorrow.
