July 29, 2023 - Leaving Kelowna

Well we are packed up and on the road to Radium Hot Springs. Guess we'll find out if it's smokey when we get there.  We were so lucky to have a non-smokey Kelowna year. Wilbur and I said, it's probably been 4 years since we had a smoke free Kelowna. 

On Wednesday we golfed Shannon Lake Golf course. Always one of our favourites. Unfortunately, just like everywhere in Kelowna, there are tons of condos going up.  A few of the holes were a little noisy. But overall, it is a very peaceful course. 

Anne and Wilbur and I had lunch at the Jammery on Thursday.   It was really yummy!  Anne and I had mushroom and brie cheese, eggs benedict.  Wilbur had an eggs benedict bowl with chorizo and hashbrowns and green onions.   All if it was excellent.   And our waitress was so personable and knowledgeable!  She told us about the food and the jams they sell. I told her she should be the chef!

Then Wilbur went to the driving range and Anne and I had a walk to the water at the end of KLO.

Last night our friends Kevin and Tracy invited us for dinner. So we wouldn't have to cook the night before we were leaving. Nice!  And as usual it was a feast. Mussels, prawns, steelhead fish, roasted potatoes and pasta salad and bread.  Burp!  I didn't get a picture of the spread. Too bad. The dogs had fun running around in their giant back yard. 

I barely remembered to get a picture when we were leaving. 

All in all a lovely 3 weeks in Kelowna.
