March 31, 2025 - Eugene, Deerwood RV Park

We left the casino this morning at 8:30.

Notice my analytical husbands stickers on the dash!

Traffic was OK until Seattle.  Typical.   After Seattle it poured so hard and there was so much road spray. We couldn't see the lines on the road.  Of course the lines were temporary ones. And the lanes squiggled back and forth.  Ugh.

Then after that it rained and stopped. But we could see.

Stopped for gas about 20 mins from Deerwood as we were very low.  We don't normally do that. Let it get that low.  But Wilbur said, I got a jerry can.

We had switched at the first gas up (yes the truck gets horrible mileage towing a trailer) so I was driving.  Then Wilbur drove the last leg.  15 mins.  I teased him, if we needed to switch again...if it was too far for him.  He said "Hey I drove 2 legs of the trip".

I didn't get any pictures, but the fields were quite green. Surprising, considering the weather hasn't  been warm.

So I am always checking the weather for the Siskiyou pass area.   YIKES there is a weather storm advisory.  Sooooo we are staying two nights here and I have called the next two places and changed the reservations.   And I called the manager we coordinate our pad rental from in Palm Springs. As it is slow season starting April, there is no problem coming in late and staying a day late.

Good thing we are retired!

  1. Hauling a trailer of any kind especially a tall one the weather dictates the travel. You're right...a day either way doesn't matter as long as your safe.😊❤️
