Look at all those windmills! Last year we had to delay a day in Bakersfield because of wind. Today barely moving. Just like we want it, when you are towing a big rig.
Interesting mountains between Bakersfield and Palm Springs. We go through the Tehachepi Pass and through Lancaster and Palmdale.
Saturday was my friend Alicja's 65th birthday. We went to the COD, the college of the desert vendor fair. Always lots to look at. With the Canadian dollar being so bad. My buying is not frivolous. I bought a few wooden spoons. Some veggies. And a cute tea towel. Unless clothes are a steal I'm not buying them.
Doesn't look a day over 50! Must be the clean living.
Then we went back to their place and had mimosas and food. And then I bought Swiss Donuts. She really likes them. And then a present. We couldn't go out for dinner that night because she really wanted to watch NCAA basketball. (Did I just roll my eyes.)
The next night we went to the Cheesecake Factory. It was busy as usual. But very good. Wilbur wanted a dessert but was too full. So we got one to go.
Monday I had them and our friends from Calgary, Kim and Jennifer over for lunch. We did Burgers and Chicken and corn on the cob. They all brought salads and bundtini's small little bundt cakes. Delicious! And I forgot to get a picture! Dumb.
Tuesday we golfed. My first round in six months. Now remember, down here you don't walk. All golf is with a cart. However I am in horrible shape. It wore me out. A jug of beer afterwards. Then home for a shower and laying on the couch all afternoon.
This is the only golf picture, before we started the round.
Today we took the dogs for an hour long walk around the RV park, before it got too hot. I think poor Vodka barely made it. We have been pretty bad about long walks this winter! Bad people!
A bit ago we just rode around the whole complex. And I didn't turn on my electric bike once. Of course it IS flat.
The weather is supposed to get into the triple digits later this week. Just in time for Coachella. The big music festival they have down here. No we don't go! I am not. Huge music person. It is "young peoples" music. It gets extremely hot and dusty. When the wind picks up it's hell there. Yup getting old.

Thanks for the update😊 Yes, Alicia does look great...she is the new and improved 65..tell her Happy Birthday!
