July 13 - Kelowna

 Oh I forgot to mention that our air conditioning in our truck has died when we tried it on the way up. Well OF COURSE something has to be wrong with the truck.  

Oh ya. Stopped for brunch at a cute little cafe.  Breakfast sandwich on croissant. Was very good. And a cold mocha latte. 

On a happy note, we went for a bike ride.  Our usual. Kind of.  We drove to Mission Regional Park.  (Usually we start at the bottom of our road.)  After parking we went along Leckie to the Rail Trail.  Hang a left and all the way to Railside Brewery. No, no beer at that time.  Then you cut through the bike trail all the way to City Beach. Under Hwy 97. Then along Abbot Street, past HUGE houses on the waterside, and piddly little houses, not looked after, on the left.  Then you see little houses that are perfectly looked after.  You follow the bike path all the way to Gyro Park then left onto Lakeside Road. Until the Mission Creek. Under the road, and you are back on the Mission Greenway Creek Trail. Which is gravel, but shaded. All the way back to where we parked. 20 Kilometres.  

I have to say the bike paths through Kelowna are fabulous.  They are separate from the road in most places. Wide and paved.   

I didn't fall off my bike, which is amazing. And only mashed my shin into the peddle once. At a pedestrian crossing.   When I got off the bike to push the button. 

Oops yesterday I dragged Wilbur to Railside Brewery as we were out at Walmart for this and that.
