Our friends decided to go home Monday as they were very worried about all the routes closing to GET home.
At that point Hwy 5, the Coquihalla, was closed due to wildfire. There was a fire that sprung up Sunday evening in West Kelowna, that was QUITE serious. My sister lives in that area and there were evacuations right away! (She went to my nieces even though she wasn't evacuated. She is okay.)
We were all worried that West Kelowna would close to traffic and then you would be screwed to get out! Luckily that didn't happen. BUT they had to go the connector (97c) to Aspen Grove then down to Princeton (which took 15 mins to get through the stop sign in Princeton) then through Manning Park and home.
This was the angry sky Sunday night. Pictures don't do it justice.
OH and Hwy 1 ended up closing due to a mudslide! Sheesh.
So we cancelled golf for Monday and Tuesday and the golf courses were VERY understanding.
Hopefully the little bit of rain and two cooler days helped ALL the wildfires.
We had a quiet few days. Yesterday we walked down the road into Scenic Canyon Regional Park. And then down the hill to Mission Creek. And saw the caves again. Then walked up the other trail to the top. Had to stop once. It's quite a climb.(No pictures, to busy trying to breath!) Then back down and up the easier switch back hill to the park and back to the trailer. The Park is on the same road as our rv place Canyon Farms RV.
An interesting tree.
The caves are cool. Not deep or anything. BUT I didn't go all the way in either!
Carved from a glacier and a dam that burst 10's of thousands of years ago.
When we got home Vodka (our dog) was not worn out! So we did zoomies on a long leash line in the grass field at our rv place. Unfortunately its on video and I haven't figured out how to import a video to the blog. Or how to take a still frame out of the video to import! I will work on that!

Nice walk..I'm impressed that Buddy went too! Maybe you'll have to get Vodka a treadmill😁
