March 24 - 25, 2024 - Tualip Casino to Albany, Oregon

 We went to the Casino at Tualip, for dinner.  Just a “little” bite to eat… at 8:30 at night.  We walked in and Wilbur saw someone with Prime Rib.  His favourite.   So he got the small piece,  12 OZ!   I got a BLT.  But they had seafood chowder and corn chowder.  So a bowl for each of us.  Oh and buns too.  Oink.  I love chowder and bisques.

We shared the soups.   Very good.  I finished a half of sandwich.   Wilbur finished the Prime Rib, but for a bite.  He said it wasn’t seasoned enough.  I said… “ so is there something I make better than a restaurant?”  and he said yes.  It was good, and tender, but not perfect.  However, we were stuffed.   

Oh, before dinner we had a wait.  So I gambled, a $20 .  Got down to $10 and then won 20.. so not bad.  After dinner Wilbur puts  $20 in…….. 3 SPINS …... And wins $50.   Bugger.

Too much food 

This is our spot at Blue Ox rv spot in Albany, Oregon.  There are lots of permanents, but it is clean and tidy!

We got here about 1:45.  The drive was good.  The traffic all the way was OK.  Not too busy through Tacoma or Seattle or Portland.   An annoying sprinkle rain, that would come and go, all the way.

We stopped for gas at a Flying J like normal.  We got a credit card a long time ago for it.  

And SURPRISE our card didn’t work.   It was inactivated?    So I called, but to get going we just paid with another card.  Which meant we didn’t get the discount.   Turns out they are now deactivating them if they are used regularly.   We use it once a year! Ugh.  Got it reactivated.

Of course I sussed out a brewery, when we got to Albany.  Seriously, I already had them pegged… a month ago, before we started the holiday!  Very rustic.  Deluxe Brewing Company.  Beer was good!

Onto the next brewery!!!!!

Then I dragged him to another brewery.  Calapooia.  Much busier.   Lots of locals.

Self explanatory!  One of my “Meals on Wheels clients, says I should have been an actor.”   No…. I am just a HAM!

 We are here for 2 nights.   So we will be exploring tomorrow!
